We love pure cotton.  We love the process that turns raw cotton yarn into a beautiful object for your home.  We hope you will enjoy these beautiful hand woven homeware products as much as we do.

Our weavers are all local women and use traditional backstrap weaving skills using bamboo and wood sticks to create our beautiful range of Placemats, Napkins, Runners and Bath Mats.

Each product is unique and is woven using pure cotton dyed by hand with dyes from nature.

Your purchase will support women with additional income and preserve these traditional skills in rural communities.

Traditionally Hand Woven Linens

Our traditionally woven Placemat and Napkin Sets will bring both elegance and practicality to any dinner table.

Generous in size, our Placemats allow for large plates and accommodate glasses and cups.  Available in many different combinations of natural dye colours, there is a mat for every occasion.

Mats can also be used on trays or even as an antimacassar on a chair back.   Macassar was originally a hair oil commonly used by men and small cloths 'anti-macassars' were used to protect the chair back from the grease.

Our Napkins can be made to match or compliment the Placemats in the same shades or of course used alone.   The more they are washed, the softer they become.   Natural dyes may fade a little with frequent washing but this will add to the beauty of the product.

The dyes themselves come from plants and trees which are only available seasonally so colours will vary throughout the year.  All dying is done by hand and the yarn is dried in the shade ready for weaving.

We also make Table Runners, Bed Runners and Bath Mats.
